My Hot Lover

All today, I have been laughing about the post on Natalie's blog that compares novel writing with love. So true, so true.

Newy is definitely my current lover, and we are burning strong. It just feels so good to be with him. Tonight, I hit 23,100k. And then, I emailed the first 120 pages to my twin sister.

I can't emphasize enough what a departure that is from the way I operated with Tristan. With him, I didn't even tell them what the book was about until I was practically done. I am not sure why I was like that.

With Newy, I am basically cramming my book down my sister's throats.

Woohoo! Sounds like puppy love to me! I hope the fire keeps burning.

Yup, very familiar. I was sending chapters to my little sister as I wrote them.

And now I'm bombarding her with my ideas for the sequel.

I'm so glad you have this project to be excited about! It has certainly gotten you out of your little funk ; ) Flash did the same for me, I don't even care that no one wanted Tut anymore.

I'll be REALLY crushed if no one wants Flash, though ; )

How about a teaser for the rest of us...what's Newy about?

Yes, I am offically out of that funk, and very glad too. Those were a few frustrating weeks.

It's funny the calm and clarity that comes with making the right decision. :)

As for a Newy teaser, sure. Sorry if it seems like I've been mysterious about it. I suppose I still have that lingering worry that some lurker will come on and steal my ideas, but that's probably extremely rare.

Okay, teaser time. I will make a new post for it, but at this moment, my kids are running around the house naked, literally. They need baths. :)

Oh, and here's another fun little fact. We have our first showing for the house at 5:30 tonight. They called unexpectedly this morning and Ben doesn't get home until six. So, I get to clean the whole house all by myself.

Hurray!!!!!

Very glad you are out of the funk as well!

I hope you don't get crushed, Kiersten, I have that same fear. I just don't know how I'm going to take it if no one wants my zombies. I guess I'll just have to move on.

Can't wait for the teaser, Renee! Sorry you have so much work ahead of you today. Yuck.

Don't worry, having now read both of your books, I think I have an informed opinion when I say that I think both are gonna see publication. :)

Amen. Best writing group EVER.

Because you do know we're a writing group, right?

And good luck with the house, Renee...I don't envy you. But I'm looking forward to the long-awaited teaser!

Heck yes we're a writing group. Mormon Mommy Writers, etc.

We should give ourselves a snappy name.

Not that Mormon Mommies is bad at all.
