Guess what I'm researching?

Prom Dresses. heh heh.

It's, unsurprisingly, a lot of fun. Here is a selection of dresses I'm thinking of for Jane. There are only two requirements: expensive and immodest (for reasons which I cannot disclose.)And, lest you think my research is pointless, I assure you, this dress is important.

Which one do you like?

Expensive and immodest, lol. Definitely nothing from our high school then, right Natalie?

I like the first one.

Yeah, at least when we were there. From what I hear from my sister it's changed quite a bit since then.

I LOVE the first one.

I like the first one too, but it might be too modest. >:)

We'll see what I go with. I might still look for even more. It is really alot of fun.

I actually went to four proms in my day, but I never bought an expensive dress. I became well accustomed to scouring the sale rack. Found some good stuff, though.

Yeah well, when you're statuesque, no doubt you'd find some great stuff...

FOUR! I had to make my two dates take me. And you had four? lol.

That first one could be pretty immodest if the back plunges down really far. Just a thought.

Yes, my four proms is something of a claim to fame for me, but it sounds a bit cooler than it was.

I went my Sophomore year, my Junior year, and twice in my Senior year. I went to mine and with this guy from my ward who went to a different school.

Truth is, for two of those, I am pretty sure the guy picked me because his buddy was taking my twin sister.

lol...

Two proms. One was with a date who liked me, and kept trying to hold my hand the whole time. Broke my heart.

The second was with my gay boyfriend. A W K W A R D.

And sure, if you're going as a group, may as well have matching dates, right?

Renee Collins said...

Matching dates, indeed. I think alot of guys got this sick idea that twins would be happy to share the same guy.

IN. THEIR. DREAMS.

In all of my years sharing the dating field with Diana, we never ever ever went for the same guy, or even liked the same guy. It's kind of hard to believe, but true. It was the Twin Code.

Also, Junior year the guy who asked me to Prom liked me and tried to hold my hand in the car. Too bad I had a crush on (and was flirting the whole time with) his best friend who was part of our group.

Ouch. I truly cringe at how thoughtless I was sometimes in High School.

I feel like a total nerd! I don't even know of any guy in high school that liked me. Here you guys have hand holders, lol.

Kiersten White said...

Oh, it wasn't a good thing, Natalie. I cried so hard I gave myself a migraine over that boy. I felt so bad that he liked me and I didn't like him back.

I was something of a flirt. Okay, I was very much a flirt. Most guys were intimidated by me though, so they never got around to seeing me get my flirt on.

Renee Collins said...

Yeah, it wasn't all it cracked up to be. I think back on 90% of my high school relationships with a shudder.

Not that they were bad guys, it was just all so . . . pointless.

And Kiersten, you are so nice to cry for that guy that liked you. That makes me feel a little guilty. With my Prom hand holder, I amped up my flirting with his friend, to make sure he got the message.

Mean. I know. I kinda was. But, hey, I had my heart broken once or twice too. Such is the game of love.

Nothing's nice in high school.

Renee Collins said...

Amen, sister.

And, Natalie, I guarentee you that plenty of guys liked you, but you just never knew about it.

I have this theory that, for all their tough guy exterior, high school boys are big time wimps when it comes to girls. With the expection of a select few, most high school aged guys try with all their might to hide it if they like a girl.

*snorts* Males.

Natalie Whipple said...

Yes, you both are right. When I really started dating after high school I learned that nearly every single guy out there was majorly afraid of rejection.

Guess, they wouldn't be cut out for the publishing biz, eh?

46,000! Whoohoo! Sorry that the house business is sapping precious time, but you're doing great!
