Impending Doom

Actually, it's not that dramatic. My In-Laws are coming into town for the 4th of July weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but their arrival will mark several days in which I might not be able to write. THAT sucks.

I really really want to write too. I am still going strong on Newy. See, there is a large amount of guilt that I struggle with, since I haven't worked on, or even thought about Tristan. All I think about is Newy. Or Zombies. (Way to get your story in my head, Natalie :)

I told my sister that I was working on a new story, and she was like, "Oh, Renee." I think they think that I am just the impulsive type who will never finish a story. I mean, I did finish Tristan. But I haven't finish finished. Oh well. There is only one way to prove them wrong.

**QUICK DISCLAIMER** Becca: If you are reading this, I don't mean that you are the person who thinks I am "the impulsive type who will never finish a story." I think I might have phrased that wrong. Ben's the only one who referenced my "impulsive nature," however I worry that everyone is thinking it inside, even if they don't say it. Insecurities. Insecurities. You've always beleived in me, though, Becca. :) A fact for which I am always grateful.

Hehe, sorry! I hope you can get some writing in when they come. At least some plotting if not writing:) I bring a notebook everywhere with me so I can plot The Unseen one and Void when I'm not in front of my comp.

And don't listen to them--my mom was very sad when I "gave up" on my first book. But I didn't give up--I moved on. And look what I have now--The Iron Queen:) I can always go back to my first book and massively overhaul...but I'm much more proud of TIQ than I ever was of Sevene.

It's true. I think you have to be a writer, who has gone through the ups and downs to understand the situation. That's why I like having y'all to chat with. :)

Oh, and don't worry. I am still working on Newy as much as I can. I too have a notebook that I bring everywhere (even church . . .okay, especially church.)

Oh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who dreamily plots while my eyes glaze over during Sunday School. Now I feel less wicked ; )

And I feel you, Renee. My sister-in-law's wedding is coming up, and I'm panicking that I might not be done by then. I've got ten days.

And as far as what you are working on, you did finish Tristan. You aren't under any deadlines. Go with Newy; Tristan isn't going anywhere.

I'm a church plotter too, there's just so much open time to think! Ben is in nursery and Kora chills with Dad. Um, you better believe I'm there with my notebook.

I used to draw during church when I was into that--so I've been sinning a long time.

People must think that that we are taking notes on the lesson or talk, being really dillengent and moved by the Spirit. If only they knew . . .
