Judy strikes again!

Last night, all of the stars aligned. My kids were both in bed by 8:15. Ben and I had a little quality time just after dinner, and now he wanted to go work on the remodeling our bathroom, and I had already done most of the Net stuff that I wanted to do. So, I was faced with almost four hours to write. Huzzah!

Well, I did. I made a lot of progress on edits. But, then, this morning, Judy attacked.

It was partially inspired by the recent post on Nathan's blog. Reading it, I started to question whether my plot was strong enough. Then, with that little opening, Judy squeezed in and began to list off the same old doubts. All day, my mind has been lost in a storm of uncertainty.

*siiiiiiiiigh* I'm neurotic. I know. I just wish that I could feel 100 percent excited about Tristan 100 percent of the time.

And all the while, Newy is chomping at the bit . . .

Sorry to rant about the same thing over and over again. I know I supposedly already resolved this issue, but I guess not.

See thats the thing that bothers me, I'm just not sure what the ultimate truth is. What I will say six months from now, in hindsight bias, was the real right choice.

I am seriously bipolar about it, and I keep saying, "Yep, this is the answer to my dilema." But then, two days later I will have doubts.

Anyway, sorry again for crying to you all about the same old thing. I just had to vent.

Yeah, that Nathan. Great post, definitely caused me to reflect though. I spent a good hour thinking about Iron Queen's plot, and I was happy to find it had one, haha.

But I am that whacko writer who writes, then goes in for massive edits. I will admit some of my plotting comes in after. I don't seem to get good ideas up front--more like right in mid-process.

Be strong. Push that little doubter out of your mind!

Renee, I have faith in you.

If we were working together, you'd be so inspired Judy would disappear forever...

Laptop is right. Not about the working together part, but the having faith in you part.

Finish Tristan. If nothing else, you will have completed the process from start to finish, and that will make your next project better. It will also give you the confidence to know that you can do it.

Thanks guys (especially you, laptop.)

It's been a pretty wild weekend, thoughts wise. I am still not sure what I should do, but in the meantime, I plug on with Tristan.
