I'm so cliche

Here you were, probably expecting one of my patented Photoshop Fridays, and what do you get instead?

One of those really short posts that says, "I'm going out of town! See you all later!" And you'll feel obligated to go into the comment section and say something like, "Have fun on your trip!! smiley face"

Here, let me try and make this less cliche. I want all of you to go into the comment section and write me a progressive story! No need to add more than a line or two, unless you want. Anything goes!

Come on in, it'll be fun! :)

Have fun on your trip **hugs**!

I'll get the ball rolling.

The alarm clock broke like a jack hammer through the peace of Renee's sleep. Her panicked reflex was to extend her long arm out from under the cover and hit the snooze button. Through the haze of her mind she began to search through her schedule for what she needed to achieve that day and by what time.

Nothing. Nothing at all. Saturday was always left free. A gift to herself. Smiling she sat up and grabbed her clock and eagerly set the alarm button to "off". Then she snuggled under her comforter and waited for sleep to come.

It didn't. It was 6.30 on a Saturday morning. She had no plans. And she was awake....

Wait what?

Renee tossed aside the comforter and put her feet on the ratty orange carpet of her bedroom. It squished>

"Crap!" Renee muttered. "Just what I needed at 6:30 in the morning, the toilet leaking again." She marched over to her closet, the waters splashing between her toes and pulled out her favorite terrycloth robe. This time her landlord was going to hear about it.

Loudly.

She ran out of the apartment and saw...

a bus passing by on the street outside. She paused, went back into her apartment, put on her jeans, top and cowboy boots, grabbed her fringed purse and walked out, leaving the door ajar on the soggy floor left behind.

She thought of poor Glam being flooded the week before and decided all would be taken care of by someone else. A leaky toilet was no big deal! She jumped into her fire-red sports car and zoomed down the road to follow the bus. There was something on there she needed desperately!

It was Adam Lambert. She had seen him leaning against the window, singing to himself (very loudly) and she knew he needed a subject to sing to in order to reach the pinnacle of his screaminess. And that was going to be her. After all, she had grabbed her fringed purse, she was looking good.

But, as the bus stopped at an intersection, she came to her senses. Why on earth would Adam Lambert be on a bus?

Besides, she wasn't entirely sure she even who who Adam Lambert was in the first place. But here she was, in her shiny, fast car, with a full tank of gas, the freeway stretching out tantalizing before her. She could go anywhere...

"New York, here I come!" she squealed, matching the sound of the tires as she peeled out onto the freeway.

Her radio was turned up to drown out the rest of the world. As traffic began to slow down, she tried to apply her brakes, but they didn't work. Panic welled up inside her.

With a screech and a loud shriek Renee jerked the wheel to the left, narrowly missing a sports utility vehicle, and found herself careening wildly down a small sparse hill heading straight for a family on a picnic. With another yank she managed to nearly avoid the collison with their table as she skittered the car wildly past...

Renee, I was one of those students in that Creative Writing class. I had a blast with all the fun activities we did and all your fun (FANTASTIC) stories. You made that day an AMAZING memory, which I will NEVER forget, I am pretty sad I won't be able to take that class again. But, I hope that someday I will be able to read your books (especially Miss Midas) Ever since you told us what that book was about, I have been DYING to read a good book. And I bet yours is AMAZING. I hope that maybe, just maybe I will be able to read it. Good luck with your books! Have fun!

Renee, Hey it is ME again, but is there a way that I can read Miss Midas? I AM DYING! Let me know! Thanks

...her ex-boyfriend Craig who was in the process of finally proposing to his longtime girlfriend. Overcome by fascination she watched the formerly commitment phobic man offer up his heart, and ring, to his beloved.

And then he turned, eyes widening at the sight of Renee careening down the hill.

And straight into a tree.

Her last thought before she lost consciousness was that she'd forgotten what pretty eyes he had. Even if they did look a little funny bulging out like that.

As she awoke she groaned, partially from the pain of the mild head injury, and partially from the sure knowledge that he and his intended bride would never, ever, believe her sudden appearance was a simple coincidence.

When she finally managed to open her eyes they were greeted by bright, white, blinding light. So this is what death really looks like, she thought. There is a white light. Then she heard the voice.

"Scalpel."

You guys rock! I was cracking up as I read this. I am mildly disturbed that I ended up on an operating table after a terrible car crash, but, hey, at least it was amusing. :)

Thanks for participating! You guys are all awesome. I am looking forward to getting back onto the blogs again. Though, I am having a TOTAL BLAST with my twin sis. :)

Courtney-Thanks!!! You pretty much just made my day. :) I'll send you an email.

Okay, phew, made it all better.

And you have a twin sis? That's awesome.
